It’s been a busy couple of weeks here at WeTrust. We are very grateful to everyone who has participated in our crowdsale. Thank you for believing in our vision!

Since the end of the crowdsale, we have been hard at work. As one of the Finalists in the Nanjing City Start-up competition, WeTrust earned the privilege of being flown to China to present our vision to local government officials, entrepreneurs, and academics. WeTrust CEO George Li represented us at the event held in Nanjing, China, helping us earn third place out of more than 25 start-up competitors from across Europe, Japan, and United States. In addition, George spent time with local governments and financial institutions in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Guizhou provinces, building relationships with organizations who are interested in learning about how blockchain can be used to improve their operations ranging from insurance claims processes, transparency in poverty alleviation efforts, and financial inclusion. We identified potential opportunities for collaboration and came away impressed by the openness and willingness to adopt new technologies.

In the coming weeks, we will be rolling out additional improvements to our Trusted Lending Circle dApp. We are working with a contractor to make improvements to our User Interface, and are adding additional features, such as alternative payout sequences for their Circle. Soon, our users will be able to choose whether they want the payout to be distributed via a lottery, bidding system, or a pre-set schedule. We are also working on adding the ability to accept any ERC20 tokens in our Smart Contracts. Comment below our article with what kind of coins you would like to use!

In addition, we recently had the privilege of interviewing our legal counsel, Grant Fondo of the law firm Goodwin Procter, to learn more about current trends in blockchain regulation. We also held a recent strategy session in Berkeley, California with our Technical Advisors, Emin Gun Sirer and Benedict Chan. It was great having a discussion late into the night about how to make our vision a reality!

Our end goal remains to create Trusted Lending Circles and other decentralized financial products on the blockchain. Many building blocks need to be in place to achieve this vision, and these building blocks we believe will provide standalone value to the cryptocurrency community. We will be releasing more details about the building blocks we are working on in the coming weeks. Follow our blog to learn more about our progress!
