CryptoUnlocked Campaign Update: Week of April 6th

This week we’re spotlighting a campaign that is highly relevant in light of recent events. Angel investor Balaji Srinivasan has been very active on Twitter posting about the COVID19 (also known as coronavirus) pandemic. A CryptoUnlocked user has created a campaign to have Joe Rogan host Balaji on his very popular podcast, with the contributions to the campaign going to benefit the Machine Intelligence Research Institute. Right now there are a lot of misconceptions spreading around coronavirus, so any effort to get useful and valuable information out to the public should be encouraged, including this campaign!

Intellectual Rooms of Justice Launches in Venezuela

We’re also spotlighting another campaign involving our old friends at Kleros, who are hard at work on an Intellectual Rooms of Justice project. When launched, the project will act as a distributed model for the creation of work products (research publications, stories, memes, arts [all vital for change], and the list goes on). Its benefits will include increased participation and collaboration, better peer support, review, and credit. The work products from these Intellectual Rooms of Justice could eventually serve as pedagogical resources and community-building resources to encourage the public to engage with the matter and take specific, measurable, impactful actions to promote equal access to justice. As part of their challenge, the Intellectual Room of Justice team will be completing 6 deliverables, including a pilot project in Venezuela that involves convening 10+ legal professionals and 10+ law students, and completing a research paper on decentralized justice. If you contribute to this cause, and if Intellectual Rooms of Justice succeeds in completing all of their deliverables, their team will receive all of the donated Ether as a thank you for their hard work!

Chiliz partners with 50 Sports / E-sports Clubs

The blockchain project socios.com and their associated cryptocurrency chiliZ is used to drive fan engagement for both traditional sports and e-sports teams. They do this by allowing fans to use their cryptocurrencies to vote on their favorite teams’ strategy and management decisions, as well as business and marketing decisions such as the designs of new team jerseys. According to the creator of this campaign, the chiliZ project has already signed partnerships with soccer teams like FC Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, West Ham United, AS Roma, Atlético de Madrid, Galatasaray and CA Independiente, as well as e-sports teams like current DOTA 2 world champions OG. If Chiliz signs on 50 traditional sports or e-sports clubs by January 1st of next year, this campaign will resolve “Yes” and all funds contributed to it will go to Binance Charity.
