Greetings WeTrust Community!

We’ve been busy. Behind the scenes, our devs have been busy working on enhancing our Trusted Lending Circles or TLCs, our Marketing Team has been working on getting the TLC dApps to the markets that need it most, and the entire team has been collaborating on mapping out the upcoming phase in our mission to promote financial inclusion.

To help us plan, we hosted an Inception Planning Event in March. It was a great chance for the Vietnam team to spend some more time with the Bay Area team, and we had a lot of fruitful discussions about what blockchain innovations can help us achieve financial inclusion.

Yutai, WeTrust’s head of UI and UX, discusses layout and design at the Inception Planning Event in March.

You may have noticed that we released TLCs with TrustCoin re-integration to the Ethereum MainNet in March. Moving forward, we plan on adding Dai Stablecoin to the TLC, so that people can use the TLCs with a unit of account equivalent to a more stable fiat they use in their day-to-day lives. At the same time, we’re conducting in-depth user testing on the TLC to determine how to make it as useful as possible. Please join the hundreds of people already using Ether based TLCs, create some TRST circles, and give us valuable feedback on your experience!

While we are working on promoting the TLC dApp and prioritizing the next features for the TLC based on user feedback, we are also creating internal tools that allow easy testing of future versions of the dApp.

As an example, we’re building an internal tool that makes it easy to spin up sidechains on the Ethereum network. These sidechains make it much easier to test and deploy enhancements to the TLC and other decentralized financial apps. In addition, as we grow the market for the TLC we may need to create “localized” versions of our product. For example, people in India may be used to different conventions from people in Latin America. These tools allows us to test and deploy customized versions of the TLC (and other financial inclusion products) with greater speed and efficiency.

After all the hard work, we took some time to hang out all together and eat a home-cooked meal. Check out that perfect rainbow that appeared after the rain!
